Summary: Sometimes, the way you find what you want, is to first find the things you don't.
Notes: I once made a joke that when I wrote a story containing my personal OT3 of Ron, Remus and Severus, I would retire from fandom. And, while I don't think that's necessarily going to happen, this story does feel like it's a bit of a final farewell. At least it came out that way, as it refused to come neat and quick, instead it meanders and delves into places I had no intention of taking it. I hope though, that it will entertain and perhaps make the seemingly impossible of the three of these fine and remarkable men finding their peace together seem possible. Canon deviations, while slight (with the exception of them all surviving the war, of course) are intentional and hopefully won't distract too awkwardly. Finally and perhaps most importantly, thank you so much to my betas, Whatnot Cospirators and best girls,redsnake05 and la_dissonance for making the best in me better and for indulging me in all my craziest schemes. And while they are extraordinary in many ways, they are not miracle-workers, all remaining mistakes are mine alone.
